Once upon a time, Brad was a games industry journalist covering the intersection of film and interactivity. He is thrilled to have come full circle to bring his two decades of creative experience to the modern landscape of interactive storytelling.
To date he has penned the screenplays for six features, including horror festival favourites Downhill and Nightworld, the latter of which starred A Nightmare On Elm Street’s Robert Englund, and opened theatrically in the United States on Halloween 2017.Current projects in development at studios include the creature feature Crawlers, a body horror titled Embryo, and the spy thriller, Blowback.
As a game writer, narrative designer and consultant he has helped craft the narratives and worlds for a variety of AAA, VR and mobile titles, including open-world action sports hit Steep, which earned him a Best Video Game Script nomination at the 2017 Writers Guild of Ireland Awards, as well as the futuristic racer WipEout 2048 and premium mobile romantic drama, City of Love: Paris.
Other credits include franchises like Hitman, LEGO Elves, Jagged Alliance, Space Hulk, and such indie sensations as Progress to 100, Stikbold!, Keyboard Sports, and Max, the Curse of Brotherhood.
Morten spent 3 years as a freelance writer on the LEGO Elves franchise where he created story and characters resulting in numerous LEGO models available worldwide today. During this time, he also developed the story for season 1 of the Elves Netflix show.
His resume includes a wide range of indie companies of all shapes and sizes releasing everything from big console titles to small mobile games, making Morten a versatile writer with a broad genre experience and deep understanding of game development.
In addition to having substantial writing credits in the TV and film mediums, Bennett has worked as a performance director on over 30 video game titles, including massive franchises such as: Destiny, Fallout, and Elder Scrolls. His first novel, God Pharm, was published in 2016.
He’s also written for Media Molecule’s Tearway Unfolded, Monolith’s Shadow of War and Sony’s upcoming VR title Blood & Truth.
